Arthur Erhart, publisher of the anti-Semitic and neo Nazi monthly “Nation Europa,” went on trial before a Bamberg court today on charges of publishing literature dangerous to the Bonn Government and slanderous of the president of the German Parliament, Dr. Eugen Gerstenmaier.

“Nation Europa” has published numerous anti-Semitic articles and questions estimates that six million Jews were martyred by the Nazis. Erhart served during the late World War with a special S.S. unit which fought partisans in Poland and the USSR and exterminated thousands of Jews.

A libel action against the monthly publication “Deutsche Africa-Orient Information” has been filed on behalf of Eric Ollenhauer, leader of the Social Democratic Party. The publication, considered a sounding board for former Nazis, stated in a recent issue that Dr. Ollenhauer is attorney for Israel and that his wife is a Jew who recently served as a volunteer in the Israeli Army.
