U.N. Envoy Returns from Jordan to Israel to Confer on Mt. Scopus Issue

Dr. Francisco Urrutia, Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold’s personal representative, held his second meeting in two days with Israel Foreign Minister Golda Meir yesterday. The conference followed the Colombian diplomat’s visit to Amman where he met with Jordanian officials.

Dr. Urrutia, whose mission is the demilitarization of the Mt. Scopus area and full implementation of the armistice agreement provisions on the Jerusalem area and access to the Holy Places, was accompanied to yesterday’s meeting by the political and legal aides of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization.
