Only 15 Jews are employed in the Lebanese civil service and these are all in minor positions under close surveillance, the Premier told Parliament today.

He was replying to opposition questions as to the number of Jews in the government service. The Premier reported that the size of the Lebanese Jewish community was declining and had reached between 8,000 and 10,000.
