Golda Meir to Leave This Month for Liberia, Ghana, French West Africa

Mrs. Golda Meir, Israel’s Foreign Minister, leaves on a West African tour February 23, it was learned here today. First the Foreign Minister will go to Liberia, thence to Ghana where she will represent Israel at the new republic’s first anniversary celebrations, and afterwards he will visit French West Africa.

The Israeli and Swiss Governments have agreed to raise their diplomatic envoys to each other capitals to the rank of ambassador. Emile Bisang, a Swiss career diplomat, has been named to serve in Jerusalem.
