New U.N. Truce Chief Arrives in Israel; Meets with Officials

Maj. Gen. Carl Carlsor von Horn, new Chief of Staff of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization, called today on Foreign Ministry director general Walter Eytan and on Joseph Tekoah, the Foreign Office armistice affairs expert. Later in the week, Premier David Ben Gurion, acting as Foreign Minister in Mrs. Golda Meir’s absence abroad, will receive the General.

Meanwhile, it was announced here that Henry Labouisse, director general of the UN Relief and Works Agency for the Palestine Arab Refugees, will arrive here Wednesday for his first visit to Israel since his appointment five years ago. It is known that Mr. Labouisse will meet with Israeli officials, but the purpose of his visit is not yet clear.
