Mayor Robert F. Wagner today proclaimed the period beginning with March 30, and ending on Israel’s Independence Day, April 24, as ZOA Enrollment Month. His proclamation calls “upon all citizens of the City of New York to join the Zionist Organization of America so that its program devoted to the strengthening of Israel may be further accelerated.”
Stressing “that Israel’s security and economy must continue to be bolstered if it is to remain as it is, the focal point for democracy in the Middle East,” the proclamation further emphasized that “the program of the ZOA will be further strengthened and fulfilled by the mass support of all citizens of the City of New York who are zealous for the cause of international righteousness and the strengthening of the free nations.”
