A Winnipeg firm which advertised for employes “required by a Christian firm” has agreed to remove all discriminatory phrases from future advertising, it was learned here today.
A complaint against the firm was placed by David Orlikow, local official of the Jewish Labor Committee. Though the official investigation of FEPC violation held the firm innocent, it was agreed by all concerned that the advertiser would not ask any prospective employee questions concerning his religion or advertise in such fashion as to indicate it preferred its employes to be of any specific religion.
