The New York State democratic delegation today joined in a letter to Postmaster General Arthur A. Summerfield requesting issuance of a postage stamp commemorating the 110th anniversary of the birth of Emma Lazarus, Jewish poetess, whose verse is inscribed at the base of the Statue of Liberty.
