This capital of Brazil went all out to celebrate Israel’s 10th anniversary. A mass meeting in honor of Israel was presided over by Mayor Francisco Negrao de Lima and addressed by Osvaldo Aranha, Brazilian statesman who presided in 1948 over the United Nations General Assembly session at which the Palestine partition resolution was adopted. The meeting was also addressed by Israel Ambassador Arieh Aroch.
