Completion of negotiations between the Austrian Government and representatives of Nazi victims on restitution payments does not appear in sight, informed observers indicated here today. Leaders of both parties on the government coalition confirm that the talks are continuing.

Bruno Pittermann, Social Democratic Vice Chancellor, said that the question of restitution of political persecutees remains under discussion within the Socialist and Peoples Parties. The news service of the Peoples Party, the major partner in the government, reported that a committee within the Finance Ministry is working on an agreement which will be submitted to Parliament as soon as possible.
