Sen. Clifford P. Case, New Jersey Republican, announced yesterday that he has written the Attorney General to ask an FBI investigation of recent bombings in the South which included attempts to blow up synagogues.

According to Sen. Case, an announcement of FBI participation would immeasurably strengthen efforts of Southern civic leaders and local police officials in their drive against terrorism. “In view of the apparent interstate character of the campaign, “Sen. Case said, “Federal participation would appear essential to deal effectively with it.”
