Berlin High Official Suspended for Helping Nazis to Persecute Jews

Dr. Harry von Rosen-von Hoewel, the Federal Government’s representative to the Berlin Supreme Administrative Court, has been suspended from his post on charges of having actively assisted in the persecution of Jews during the Nazi era.

The Ministry of the Interior acted on the basis of charges by the Social Democratic deputies in the Bundestag that Dr. von Rosen had published in 1942 and 1944 books calling for “special treatment” of Jews and Poles as part of Hitler’s “mission in the East” In his writings, Dr. Rosen included a demand for the death of these peoples.
