Shlomo Arazi, director of Israel’s state property department, accepted title to some $300,000 worth of laboratory and research equipment used by United Nations technical experts to train Israeli technicians. Title was transferred by Eric Ward, resident director of the UN technical assistance board.
Accepting the property, Mr. Arazi note that the financial value of the property was far outweighed by the specialized nature of the equipment. Some of it is destined for the Haifa Technion’s School of Mining Engineering.
