President Eisenhower today lauded the Jewish Hospital of Brooklyn for its “distinguished record in the field of medicine and in service to the people of the community” in a message read during cornerstone ceremonies for a new $5,000,000 pavilion.

Appellate Division Justice George J. Beldock, hospital honorary president, Isidor Leviton, president, and Mayor Robert F. Wagner set the cornerstone. Participating in the ceremony was nine-year-old Rosemary Muller of Roslyn Heights, L. I., who recently underwent major heart surgery at the hospital to close 31 holes and save her life.
