The Jewish Record, English-Jewish weekly newspaper serving the Jewish communities of the South Jersey area, was purchased by Theodor I. Sandler, former newspaper executive in the daily newspaper field, from Arthur Weyne, publisher of The Record. The paper is now in its 19th year of continuous publication.

Mr. Sandler, a native of Atlantic City, whose last position was as promotion manager of the Patriot-News, of Harrisburg, Pa., has returned to his home town to continue his newspaper career. Mr. Weyne assumed the ownership-management of The Record on January 1, 1956. Directly prior to that he had served as editor of the Jewish Exponent, of Philadelphia, for two years. Before his service with The Exponent, Mr. Weyne was for many years engaged in public-relations and publications work in the Jewish organization field.
