The Soviet Union has offered the United Arab Republic an opportunity to purchase unlimited numbers of the latest model jet airliners, it was reported here today from Cairo.
Official sources in Cairo revealed that during his surprise visit there last week, Commander Rodenko of the Soviet Air Force offered TU-114s for purchase by the UAR state-owned airline for commercial flights. The UAR has on order older Soviet commercial airliners, the TU-104s.
