Republican Leader Praises Israel As Friend of U.S. in the Middle East

Leonard W. Hall, a candidate for the Republican gubernatorial nomination, praised Israel last night as a staunch friend of the United States in the troubled Middle East. He spoke at a testimonial dinner in his honor and in support of the United Jewish Appeal.

Rabbi Jacob P. Rudin of Temple Beth El, Great Neck, spoke of the need to rescue thousands of Jews in danger areas. Contributions of $250,000 were pledged for their aid.
