A proposal for the “freezing” of Israel in its present territorial confines and an attempt to guarantee these borders, though without the extension of specific guarantees, will be put before British Premier Harold Macmilian and Foreign Secretary Selwyn Lloyd by Italian Premier Amintore Fanfani, Friday, diplomatic circles here reported today.
Premier Fanfani is currently in Washington conferring with Secretary of State John Foster Dulles on the Middle East. He has already met with French Foreign Minister Maurice Couve de Murville and is scheduled to confer next week with Bonn Chancellor Konrad Adenauer.
