Easier down-payment terms for Jewish repatriates from the Soviet Union buying homes in Poland have been fixed by the Polish Government as a step to help the repatriates acquire homes of their own, according to information received here today from Warsaw.
Under the new ruling, repatriates will be allowed from three to six months’ leeway in making down payments, and the payments could be made in Installments. The repatriates have also been exempted by the Polish Finance Ministry from payment of certain excise taxes during the period when they are attempting to establish themselves in their new homes.
