Israel Ambassador Abba Eban today met with William Rountree, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, and later reported “a friendly and constructive exchange of views on the position in the Middle East.”
Mr. Eban described the 45-minute talk as a continuance of the discussion of matters previously taken up with Secretary of State John Foster Dulles.
