Ludwig Zund, the high school teacher who was sentenced to one year in prison after declaring publicly that “not enough Jews were gassed,” has entered a plea for a new trial, it was disclosed today.
A date for a hearing on the appeal before the Federal Supreme Court in Karlsruhe has not been set. Zind was sentenced by an Offenburg district court on April 11 after he was convicted of libel and defamation of the memory of the dead.
