Canada’s First Woman Ambassador Named Dominion’s Envoy to Israel

Canada named her first woman ambassador this week-end and assigned her as the Dominion’s first resident Ambassador to Israel. Miss Margaret Meagher, until now Canada’s Charge d’Affaires in Israel, was appointed ambassador. In the past, Canada’s envoy has resided in Athens where he also served as Ambassador to Greece.
