Israel will soon open a Consulate in Portugal, according to information revealed here today. The Consulate will be Israel’s first diplomatic mission on the Iberian Peninsula. Israel has no diplomatic relations with Spain. Recently, however, a high official of the economic department of Israel’s Foreign Ministry visited Madrid in an effort to establish economic relations with Spain.
