Israel Ambassador Abba Eban has conferred with Secretary of Agriculture Ezra Taft Benson on obtaining surplus agricultural commodities for Israel, it was learned.
The discussion was part of negotiations now proceeding between the two governments on the U.S. economic aid program for the current fiscal year. Other projects will be discussed with Under Secretary of State C. Douglas Dillon when Mr. Dillon returns to Washington from New Delhi where he is attending the conference of the International Monetary Fund.
