Twenty-five hundred Israeli diamond polishers went on strike today closing down production in polishing and cutting shops in this city and nearby Natanya.

The reason for the strike was the refusal of the shop owners to pay a cost of living bonus. The diamond polishing industry provides Israel with a major source of foreign currency.
