Hemingway’s ‘old Man of the Sea’ Translated into Yiddish

The publication of a Yiddish translation of Ernest Hemingway’s Nobel Prize winning “Old Man of the Sea” was announced today by Israel London, publisher of Der Kval Books.

The short novel was translated by Meir Sticker, city editor of the Yiddish-language Day-Morning Journal, and illustrated by Leonard Baskin, American artist and sculptor.
