Secretary of Agriculture Ezra Benson, on nomination of Jewish organizations, has appointed Dr. Joseph B. Soloveitchik, as the Jewish religious authority on the advisory committee the Department has set up in connection with the new Humane Slaughter Law. Dr. Soloveitchik is Professor of Talmud and Jewish Philosophy at Yeshiva University.
Dr. Arthur Flemming, Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare, has designated Dr. Bernard Lander, director of the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Yeshiva University, to be a member of the 12-man Advisory Council on Public Assistance.
