“There is no word of truth in the mischievous propaganda by right-wing elements who claim that the Labor Party is unfriendly to Israel,” Anthony Greenwood, Laborite member of Parliament, and a member of Labor’s “shadow cabinet,” declared last night. Mr. Greenwood made his statement at the annual conference of the Pioneer Women here.

Far from being unfriendly to Israel, Labor demands “guarantees of Israel’s frontiers, an end to the Arab blockade against Israel, and an end to the anti-Israeli boycott,” Mr. Greenwood declared. Hope that Britain would support Israel’s right to unhampered navigation through the Suez Canal was expressed at the meeting by another speaker, Dr. S. S. Levenberg, Labor Zionist leader.
