Israel’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Golda Meir, was voted the Israel “Mother of the Year,” by the American Mothers Committee at their annual convention here. The citation was accepted on behalf of the Foreign Minister by Mrs. Aviad Yafeh, wife of Israel’s consul in New York and the director of the Israel Office of Information.

Mrs. Yafeh presented to Mrs. Lillian D. Poling, president of the American Mothers Committee, a copy of “Views of the Bible World,” on behalf of Mrs. Rachel Ben-Zvi, wife of the President of Israel, who was last year’s “Woman of the Year.”
