The Consul General of Israel in Chicago, David S. Tescher, today presented to former President Harry S. Truman an album of Israeli newspapers of May 15-19, 1948, reporting and editorializing on United States recognition of the new State of Israel 11 years ago. The album also contained photographs of a village in Israel, and a street in Ramat Gan, named after President Truman.
