A new, modern synagogue to replace one that was destroyed by the Nazis during the infamous “Crystal Night” of 1938, was consecrated here yesterday.
The new edifice, which stands near the German Foreign Ministry office, will provide seating for 150 worshippers. Bonn had a population of more then 1, 200 Jews before the Nazis’ persecutions got underway.
