Mrs. Golda Meir, Israel’s Foreign Minister, visiting this country on a state visit as part of her Latin American tour, devoted the week-end to contacts with the Brazilian Jewish community.
Five thousand persons crowded the largest film theatre in this city yesterday to hear Mrs. Meir address a meeting which opened Brazil’s United Jewish Appeal. Last night, 250 of the largest contributors to the UJA attended a banquet in her honor.
