The Turkish Jewish community will probably not be represented at the World Jewish Congress to attend its parley next week in Stockholm, it was learned today. The application to Turkish authorities for the necessary authorization has not been made by Turkish Jewish leaders.
In the past, with one exception, Turkish authorities have refused permission to Turkish Jewry to take part in WJC meetings. The Turkish Jewish community is one of the few Jewish communities in the free world which has no affiliation with the World Jewish Congress.
