William Horowitz, of New Haven, has been elected chairman of the Connecticut State Board of Education by a unanimous vote of the board. A native of Kansas City, Mo., Mr. Horowitz was appointed to a six-year term on the board by Governor Ribicoff in 1955. He is president of the B’nai Jacob synagogue in New Haven and the National Friends of the Yale Hillel Foundation.
