Top American Labor Leaders Honor Israel’s Ambassador in Washington

A number of the nation’s top labor leaders joined here to tender a luncheon honoring Avraham Harman, Israel’s Ambassador to the United States.

Sponsors of the luncheon included Walter Reuther, president of the United Auto Workers; James B. Carey, president of the Electrical Workers Union; George Harrison, president of the Railway Clerks Brotherhood; and Harry Bates of the Bricklayers Union.

A welcome dinner honoring Ambassador Harman, will be held here tomorrow at the Indian Springs Country Club, sponsored by local supporters of Israel bonds, and marking the first meeting of the Ambassador with Washington Jewish leaders.
