Benjamin Levinson, Detroit Jewish financier, was the recipient here of the “Knight of Charity” award given annually to a prominent person selected by Friends of the Missionaries of St. Peter and Paul for personifying their motto of “union in family life with person-to-person charity.”
The award was presented also to a Catholic and a Protestant at a benefit dinner of the Founders of Maryglade College, a school of divinity. The three recipients of the award exemplify the Detroit community’s support of this project, it was emphasized.
