The Inbal, Israel dance group, opened at the City Center here tonight in the presence of Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, Avraham Harman, members of the Consular and Diplomatic corps and leading personalities in the arts and the Jewish community.
Tonight’s performance, a benefit for the Scholarship Fund of the America Israel Cultural Foundation, raised $10,000 which will be used to bring over promising Israeli artists for advanced study in the United States. The Inbal group will remain in New York until December 6, after which it will spend one month touring other American cities before returning to Israel.
