The European Board of the World Union for Progressive Judaism has been constituted and has adopted a constitution, it was announced today. After transfer of the central office of the world Reform group to New York early next year, the European board will direct activities on the continent from its office here.
The Hon. Lily Montagu was elected president of the board. Rabbi J. Soetendorp and M. Greilsammer were named co-chairmen and Dr. S. C. Lewsen was elected honorary treasurer. Delegates from France, Germany, Switzerland, Holland and Britain are members of the European Board.
