Chairman Francis E. Walter of the House Committee on Un-American Activities said today he had obtained information from “unassailable” intelligence sources revealing that the Communists were behind recent anti-Semitic outbreaks in West Germany.

Rep. Walter said he was satisfied that the anti-Jewish acts were “Communist inspired for the purpose of attempting to discredit the West German Adenauer Government.” He indicated that West Germany was in no way to blame for the Nazi manifestations.

According to Rep. Whiter, Communist agents rounded up hoodlums to “create an image in the public mind of a rebirth of the Nazi atrocities against the Jews…all as a part of a diabolical scheme to further Communist designs in West Germany.”
