A three-day national conference of the American Technion Society will open here tomorrow to plan support for the Israel Institute on Technology at Haifa.
Justice Moshe Landau of the Israel Supreme Court, who will be the principal speaker, said at a press conference today that the success of Israel depends on an “unprecedented expansion” of its higher education facilities. “While Israel’s population more than doubled in the past decade, the number of students enrolled in its institutions of higher learning did not keep pace with this increase, ” he stated.”
