Establishment of a special high school for Jewish studies, to help indoctrinate German youth against anti-Semitism, was demanded here today by leaders of the German Students Organization.
The demand was voiced at the conclusion of a student seminar at which youths from all over West Germany heard lectures on Judaism, and discussed the contributions made by Jews to world culture in general and to German culture in particular.
“Knowledge about Judaism and Jewish history,” one of the student leaders said at the end of the seminar, “is the best weapon against anti-Semitism.” He called for courses in Judaism in all high schools and colleges, as well as for the creation of the special high school for Jewish studies.
