A group of Jewish residents from violence-wrecked Leopoldville in the Republic of Congo arrived here by air today from Brazzaville aboard a United States Army plane.
They included an Israeli family of six persons, a Tunisian woman and a French woman. They had fled to Brazzaville from Leopoldville leaving all their possessions behind.
They reported that 5, 000 of Leopoldville’s 10, 000 white residents had sought refuge in Brazzaville and described the situation as one of complete chaos. The Jewish community of Leopoldville joined with the rest of the whites in the trek to Brazzaville as refugees.
