Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion met yesterday with Paul Hoffman, director of the United Nations Special Fund and first administrator of the Marshall Plan.

Mr. Hoffman is visiting Israel in connection with the forthcoming International Conference on the Role of Science in developing newly independent nations. The conference will be held in Rehovot next month. Mr. Hoffman also met with Pinhas Sapir, Minister of Trade and Industry.

Prominent Israeli and UN officials and representatives of public, economic and other institutions were among the large audience who attended the lecture.
