A joint Argentine-Israeli statement, issued by both governments, will be made public tonight settling the differences which have arisen between Argentina and Israel in connection with the capture of Adolf Eichmann, the Nazi leader who directed the mass-killing of 6,000,000 Jews in Europe.
Following the issuance of the statement, Dr. Shabtai Rosenne, legal adviser of Israel’s Foreign Ministry who came here to reach an understanding with the Argentine Government, will fly back to Israel tonight with a stop-over in New York.
Although friendly relations between Argentina and Israel will be fully resumed, it is not anticipated that the ambassadors of both countries will return to their posts. However, it is believed that new envoys will be named by both countries soon after the Jewish High Holy Days early in October.
