Moshe Pearlman, Israel’s special emissary to the Congo with the rank of Ambassador, returned from a month-long visit to that country today and said that Israel’s aid to the Congo was of a “decisive nature” since it was the first to arrive there.

He said that Israel’s medical group arrived in Leopoldville when there were practically no physicians in the Congo. He further said that Israeli statistician, David Dinur, is now helping Congo’s Finance Ministry draw up the first Congolese national budget.
