For the first time in this city’s history, Protestants, Catholics and Jews will work together to sponsor a sports event to aid the charities of the three faiths.

B’nai B’rith, the Knights of Columbus and the Knights of the Round Table are sponsors of the first inter-faith charity game here. Proceeds from the game will be divided equally among the three for distribution to the charitable organizations each assists.

The game will bring together in Jeppsen Stadium the Houston Oilers and the Denver Broncos in the newly created American Football League, making their first appearance in the city. The 33,000 seat stadium is expected to be filled Saturday night, August 20, when the whistle blows for the kickoff.
