British exports to Israel fell slightly during the first five months of this year, as compared with the same period of 1959, but imports had increased, according to official figures released here today.
For the period ending May 31, 1960, the United Kingdom exported to Israel goods valued at 7,073, 000 pounds sterling ($19, 804, 400) as against 1959 exports in the same period valued at 7,513,000 pounds ($21,036,400). Imports from Israel by the end of May, 1960, were valued at 11, 874,000 pounds ($33, 247, 200) as against last year’s comparable 11, 688, 000 pounds ($32,728,400).
