I.l.o. Names Frieda Miller for Studies in Israel and Moslem Lands

Miss Frieda S. Miller, former director of the Women’s Bureau of the United States Department of Labor, and onetime Industrial Commissioner for the State of New York under the governorship of Herbert H. Lehman, today was named by the International Labor Organization to make special surveys of labor conditions affecting children and youth in the Near and Middle East.

Miss Miller, who will make her headquarters at the ILO office in Istanbul, will conduct her surveys through visits to Iraq, Iran, Israel, Lebanon, and the United Arab Republic as well as in Turkey. Her report will be filed at the world headquarters of ILO in Geneva.
