Trade between the United States and Israel is reaching “record levels,” having totaled $73,000,000 in the first half of 1960, and “indications are that it will rise still further,” according to a report issued here today by the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In the period January-June of this year, the Chamber figures show, cargoes from the United States accounted for “well over half” of the total shipping tonnage unloaded at the Port of Haifa in Israel.
