Dr. Nahum Goldmann, president of the World Zionist Organization, telegraphed congratulations to Viscount Herbert Louis Samuel, Britain’s first High Commissioner for Palestine, and one of Britain’s foremost Jewish leaders, who is celebrating his ninetieth birthday.
“Both personally and on behalf of the World Zionist Executive,” Dr. Goldmann wired, “I extend most sincere wishes on your ninetieth birthday. May the Jewish people and Israel still benefit for many years from your help and deep interest, and may our Jewish generation be blessed to have you among us as one of our greatest sons.”
